COUNTRY FOOD.  

It was our main motivation to get up north, and a term we’d never actually heard before starting FEAST.  As Dana mentioned in the last post, country food is traditional “food from the land,” and has made up the Inuit diet for thousands of years.

And Then We Saw Polar Bears

Before this trip, the only person I’d met who’d seen polar bears was a man I chatted with in Parma, Italy.  When he found out I was ‘La Canadese’, he said “Oh, so you’ve been to Churchill!  And seen the polar bears!  I was there ten years ago.  Spettacolore.”
